CITY OF WILKES-BARRE ANNOUNCES SOUTH MAIN STREET CLOSURE ON SUNDAY JULY 17
WILKES-BARRE - South Main Street, between Public Square and Northampton Street will be closed to all traffic between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 17. Access to the street will be closed because a crane will be positioned on the street to replace an air conditioning unit on the roof of Boscov's department store. All businesses affected by the street closure will be notified by the contractor. There will also be flagmen and cone barriers set-up on both ends of S Main Street to mark the closure and direct motorists around the affected area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until the street is reopened.
