WILKES-BARRE - The Roadhouse Blues Senior Softball team, based in Northeast Pennsylvania, will host a Senior Softball World Championship [SSWC] National Qualifying Tournament in Wilkes-Barre, PA on June 22-26 in Kirby Park. The tournament will provide like age group competition for five days and welcome over 800 people and 30 teams to the area. Teams will be traveling to Wilkes-Barre not only from Pennsylvania but many surrounding states which will ensure a high-competitive tournament.
It is a guaranteed five game tournament format which provides plenty of action throughout the weekend. Players may form a team that plays in the age group of the youngest player on the team. Teams will qualify to participate in among others the largest, true National Championship held in Phoenix, AZ every October that comprises 325 teams that participate in 8 different age divisions from 40+ and up.
The City of Wilkes-Barre Summer Classic is the first senior softball tournament held in Northeastern Pennsylvania that is affiliated to the SSWC, an organization with 800 teams and 17,000 players from all 50 states.
