2010 Downtown Collegetown Party on the Square

The City of Wilkes-Barre, Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business & Industry, and Diamond City Partnership are pleased to announce that the 7th Annual Downtown Collegetown Party on the Square will be held on Wednesday, September 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on downtown Wilkes-Barre's Public Square.

"The Downtown Collegetown Party on the Square is Northeastern PA's premier college event. Each year, it draws record crowds to Public Square, showcasing the wonderful things the Greater Wilkes-Barre Area has to offer, such as retail and restaurant options, networking and internship opportunities and the convenience and ease of downtown Wilkes-Barre. This year was no exception. There is no better way for businesses to promote themselves to the college community or for students to experience the best of the area in one place, at one time," commented Mayor Leighton.

Schedule of Events

• 5:00 p.m. - Event opens to students - entertainment by DJ Ooh Wee and Notorious P.A.T.
• 6:30 p.m. - Domino's Pizza eating contest, located in the tent in the cut-out area of Public Square
• 7:00 p.m. - Live concert by Pop Rox, presented by Choice One Community Credit Union
• 8:00 p.m. - Live concert by Table Ten, presented by Choice One Community Credit Union
• 8:45 p.m. - Collegetown Cup trophy winner announced
