The City of Wilkes-Barre Operations Department is responsible for the overall management of the Code Enforcement Office, Department of
Public Works, and the Planning and Zoning Offices. The Department coordinates the various municipal services as related to construction projects and ensuring
that citizens recieve the highest lavel of service from the City of Wilkes-Barre. The Department also facilitates City review of various
construction projects to ensure that projects proceed on schedule.
The Director of Operations is responsible for the administration, supervision and performance of all municipal functions related to, but
not necessarily limited to, Public Works, Traffic, Parks and Recreation, Planning, Zoning, Engineering, Land Development, Building Permits, and
Code Enforcement.
