              The City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney serve as the chief legal advisors to the Mayor, the City Council, and all City departments and agencies. They represent the City in all legal proceedings and are responsible for the effective operation of the Bureau of Law.

              The City Attorney is a full-time employee of the City and is responsible for staffing the City's legal office.
