The 2011 4th of July Celebration in Kirby Park

The day will begin with the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA's annual 3-mile Bernie's Memorial Run/Walk through downtown Wilkes-Barre. For more information on this 4th of July tradition, please call the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA at 823.2191.

At 12:00 noon, a huge variety of food and craft vendors, as well as many rides and games, will open in Kirby Park. As dusk falls, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, will play patriotic favorites, leading into a spectacular fireworks display that will end the night in grand fashion.

Thank you to event sponsors Martz Group, Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Price Chopper, The Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA, and the Luzerne County Convention and Visitors Bureau for helping the city plan this beloved July 4th celebration.

The 2011 4th of July celebration will take place on Monday, July 4th, 2011, at Kirby Park. Please check back for future updates. We hope to see you there!
